This qualification has been developed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge required to work as a teacher in the Further Education sector. It has been designed to meet the latest occupational standards and replaces the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.

The qualification aims to cover a wide spectrum of job roles within the diverse FE landscape, supporting educators in colleges, adult education, offender education, work-based learning, and independent training organisations.

Level 4 Award in Observation of Teaching, Training and Learning (RQF)

This qualification is suitable for teachers, tutors and trainers working in a range of settings, who undertake formal observations of colleagues delivering teaching or training sessions. The qualification will develop your skills and knowledge in undertaking teaching observations and giving post observation feedback.

Level 5 Diploma in Teaching Mathematics: Numeracy (RQF)

The TQUK Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English: Numeracy (RQF) is a standalone specialist qualification for teachers working in the education and training sector who wish to obtain a specialist teaching qualification in numeracy. 

The aims of the qualification are to develop a learner's knowledge, skills and attitudes for teaching numeracy.

Learners will already be teaching and wish to have their experience and practice in Maths/ Numeracy accredited.

Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English: Literacy (RQF)

The Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English: Literacy (RQF) qualification is a standalone specialist qualification for teachers working in the education and training sector who wish to obtain a specialist teaching qualification in literacy. The aims of the qualification are to develop learners’ knowledge, skills and attitudes for teaching literacy.

Learners will already be teaching and wish to have their experience and practice in English/Literacy accredited.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF)

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) qualification is an introductory teaching qualification which can be undertaken by learners who are not yet in a teaching role or who are currently teaching. This qualification replaced the Level 3 and Level 4 Awards in Preparing to Teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector (QCF), known as PTLLS.

Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF)

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF) qualification is suitable for learners who want a teaching qualification which focuses on both the practical and theoretical elements of teaching. Learners may already be teaching and wish to have their experience and practice accredited, or not presently teaching but capable of meeting the minimum teaching practice requirement of 30 hours for this qualification.

Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (RQF)

The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (RQF) qualification is suitable for learners who perform a full teaching role and want a qualification which focuses on both the practical and theoretical elements of teaching. Learners may already be teaching and wish to have their experience and practice accredited, or not presently teaching but capable of meeting the minimum teaching practice requirement of 100 hours for this qualification.

Level 5 Certificate in Observation of Teaching and Learning (RQF)

The Level 5 Certificate in Observation of Teaching and Learning (RQF) is suitable for qualified and experienced teachers who undertake formal observations of colleagues delivering teaching or training sessions. The qualification develops the skills and knowledge in undertaking teaching, training and learning session observations and post observation feedback processes. Individuals who already have observation experience will still benefit considerably from completion of this qualification as it provides accredited recognition of their skills.
