The purpose of
this qualification is to develop knowledge, understanding and
skills to enable a person to uphold British values. This includes developing an
understanding of the effects of extremism, radicalisation and terrorism. The
aims of the qualification are to promote equality, diversity and social
inclusion in society and the workplace in order to support the Government’s agenda on
tackling radicalisation and extremism.
The Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People (RQF) qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of how to safeguard and protect children, young people and practitioners in the workplace. It also covers how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused.
The Level 2 Award in Equality and Diversity (RQF) qualification provides learners with knowledge and understanding of the concept of equal opportunities and how to recognise and implement positive approaches to equality and diversity
